Meet the Ministers at the Aftershow of the Representation of Saarland

Our partner Landesvertretung Saarland – the representation of Saarland – invites re:publica attendees and representatives of the "political Berlin" to a "Come Together" with talks, BBQ and drinks on 4 May (Day 3). In a relaxed atmosphere Federal Ministers Peter Altmaier and Heiko Maas will have a conversation with Teresa Sickert (@cluychaz):

"Prior to the 'National IT Summit', held in November 2016 in Saarland, for the first time we organize a 'Come Together' in the Saarland Representation (Address: Landesvertretung des Saarlandes beim Bund, In den Ministergärten 4, 10117 Berlin) on the occasion of the Berlin re:publica. We want to connect the tenth edition of re:publica with the process of digitisation  in Germany in general and the situation in Saarland in particular.

We want to talk with the two Federal Ministers from Saarland – Peter Altmaier and Heiko Maas – in a lounge atmosphere on digital topics and enjoy BBQ & Drinks, music and dancing."

  • 7:30 PM: Twitter-Reading with Leena Simon: A retrospect on the re:publica TEN
    Leena Simon is a graduated philosopher and political scientist and works on digital literacy and technology paternalism. She works for the Electric Reporter and digital courage e.V.
  • 7:45 PM: Welcome
  • 8:00 PM: Talk with chancellery minister Peter Altmaier MP and federal minister of justice Heiko Maas, presented by Teresa Sickert.
    Sickert is a free media journalist and presenter among others for Fritz (rbb Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg). Her work mainly deals with the risks and opportunities of the digital transformation of journalism and society. Sickert publishes mainly on the radio, but also online and on television. Amongst her regular clients are Deutschlandradio Kultur and Spiegel Online. In the network world Teresa Sickert is not only at home professionally, she also has at least one account in all social networks privately and regularly monitors the latest developments in this field.
