Behind the scenes of #rpTEN: Interns wanted

We are looking to fill internship positions at the program & editorial team starting immediately, as well as starting in January/February. Candidates should be enthusiastic and interested in themes focusing on the Internet & digital society and be prepared to support the programme planning and editorial desk for the 10th re:publica. As a member of a dedicated team, you'll gain numerous insights into and experience in organising large-scale projects.

About us: re:publica has become one of the world's most important festivals for the digital society. Its 9th instalment in May 2015 brought over 7 000 guests to Berlin, with over 850 speakers from over 45 countries presenting on 18 stages. Every year, re:publica brings together activists, coders, artists, business people and representatives from many other spheres of life. Also, nearly half of the attendees at the annual re:publica festival are female – few other events in this field can pride themselves with such a balanced visitor demographic.

What you can expect to support us on, e.g.:

  • Researching themes/topics and speakers
  • Writing blog posts
  • Circulating and analysing our Call for Papers
  • Event programme design and planning
  • Corresponding with speakers

What we are looking for from you:

  • Affinity for re:publica's themes and ethos
  • Independence, motivation, creativity and a good team mentality
  • Basic knowledge with and technical interest in CMS
  • Organizational skills and an eye for details
  • Very good English language skills; native English language candidates with a good level in German are more than welcome to apply

What we can offer you:

  • Working on one of the most exciting conferences on Internet and digital society
  • A great working atmosphere with dedicated colleagues and interesting projects
  • Flexible working hours, internship duration and starting date
  • Office location in the heart of Berlin

This internship is remunerated and can fulfil mandatory internship requirements for a degree programme. If you are interested and/or would like to know more, please send your questions or CV/resume (please no photos included), as well as a short cover letter to Sandra (sandra [at] re-publica.de) – or call us at: +49 30 92105 989

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
